Motorola unveils new noiseless, wireless ear device

A sexy ear device? Move over, Razr.

Motorola Inc. is aiming to make its newest Bluetooth-enable appliance a hot-selling holiday gift.

Motorola today unveiled the MotoPure H12, its first wireless ear device designed to eliminate most background noise and is touted as the latest sexy must-have for your mobile phone.

MotoPure is smaller, sleeker and thinner than other ear pieces and offers a custom fit with inter-changeable appliances. It is expected to be available in Chicago area stores this week but company executives would not provide a price.

The Schaumburg-based communications company is counting on this new device with CrystalTalk technology to be a big seller for holiday gift-giving, said Jason Few, corporate vice president and general manager of Motorola's Companion Products in Libertyville, during their first global press conference using the new device.

The press conference had Motorola executives talking live from London's Paddington train station and a New York intersection in the rain and wind. Even paid Motorola spokesman David Beckham touted the new MotoPure H12 while on the soccer field.

"Noise reduction was the most important feature from customers who purchased a headset," Few told reporters.

The device is compatible with 200 Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, and offers 5.5 hours of talk time and 8 days of standby.

"The H12's premiere audio technology, design and style make it a premium hands-free solution that helps 'silence the noise' for on-the-go consumers and marks Motorola's innovation and expertise that have driven the company's growth and global leadership in the Bluetooth accessories market," said Few.
