Parade Tuesday to honor Barrington state soccer champs
Barrington High School will celebrate its state championship boys soccer team Tuesday afternoon, with a fire truck parade through Barrington and an all-school assembly at the high school in the afternoon.
The soccer team won the AA state champion Saturday, in a thrilling, triple-overtime victory over Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville.
Tuesday, the team will gather at the Barrington Fire Station, 400 N. Northwest Highway (near Lake-Cook Road) around 1:30 p.m.
From there a parade of fire trucks and other vehicles will carry the team to Barrington High School for an all-school assembly and trophy presentation that is scheduled to start at 2:13 p.m. and go until 2:35 p.m.
