Revs top Red Bulls to set up conference final against Fire

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Taylor Twellman scored in the 64th minute to help New England beat the New York Red Bulls 1-0 on Saturday night, sending the Revolution to the MLS Eastern Conference final for the sixth straight season.

After opening the two-game, total-goals series with a 0-0 tie last weekend in East Rutherford, N.J., the Revs finished off the Red Bulls at home to set up Thursday's conference final at home against the Chicago Fire.

With the victory, New England extended its unbeaten streak against New York to 10 matches (7-0-3) and pushed its playoff unbeaten streak to 12 (8-0-4).

The first half was played in driving rain and strong wind.

New York lost scoring leader Juan Pablo Angel to a concussion in the 56th minute after a collision with Revolution defender Jay Heaps.
