Writer votes for Bailey's gerbils, too

I just wanted to send a note about Chris Bailey's Oct. 28 column. I thought it was brilliant.

As a hard-working taxpayer, I am constantly appalled at how our government officials throw our money around.

The situation with Connie Neale was particularly disturbing to me. I'm glad there are people in the media getting the word out about them.

The board of education is an endless money pit that hides behind our children when its finances are questioned. I'm tired of being fleeced. I'm voting for the gerbils as well! Thank you,
