A second helping of Concord Commons
On the heels of closing out the original Concord Commons, Concord Commons II debuts in Des Plaines with the opening of two townhouse models.
When complete, the Lennar community will feature 34 maintenance-free townhouses, greenbelts and landscaped surroundings. Each townhouse will have a finished lower level, private balcony and two-car garage.
Buyers can choose from two three-story designs with two to three bedrooms, 2½ baths and two-car garage. In both plans, the main living area is a half flight up from the foyer and includes an eat-in kitchen and combined living-dining room.
All bedrooms are on the upper level. The finished lower level is a half flight down from the foyer.
"Concord Commons was a big success with home buyers right from the start with its prime location on the Northwest Highway corridor," said Leigh Nevers, vice president of marketing for Lennar. "But these new townhouses will also include some more high-end features, so we're expecting Concord Commons II to be very popular."
The community is located along Northwest Highway just south of Seegers Road, adjacent to the original development.
The Camden, priced from $324,500 with 1,721 square feet, features three bedrooms and 2½ baths.
This plan offers space to adapt to a family's changing needs. For example, buyers can use the extra bedrooms for guests or an exercise room and later set up a nursery or home office.
The main level offers an open floor plan that lends itself to entertaining. The combination living-dining room features a love seat and four chairs arranged for conversing with guests or family members.
The dining room has a dark wood round table set for five.
The eat-in kitchen features 36-inch raised-panel cabinets with crown molding, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The room offers a pass-through that connects to the dining room and can be used as a serving station when entertaining.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a powder room, laundry room and balcony.
In the master suite, a geometric print spread covers the bed, which is set against a burgundy wall. There's also a dresser and mirror, walk-in closet and private bath with a tub-shower and one sink.
A secondary bedroom is done in burgundy, while another room is set up as an office with a desk and glass-fronted cabinet.
The finished lower-level family room features a gold sectional topped with pillows, a plasma TV and game table.
The Atwood, priced from $321,500, has 1,721 square feet and two bedroom suites, each with a private bath, plus a half bath on the main level.
The main level features an open floor plan and a neutral decor with lime-green accents. The combination living-dining room is furnished with a sofa, two chairs and plasma TV. The dining room offers a sophisticated setting for entertaining guests.
As in the Camden, the eat-in kitchen features 36-inch raised-panel cabinets with crown molding, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The room offers a convenient pass-through that connects to the dining room.
A powder room, laundry room and balcony sit off the kitchen.
The master suite features a silver and white spread with a green and white ruffle, dark wood dresser and end tables, and a corner sitting area. The private bath has two sinks and a tub-shower, and is accessorized with candles and a display of bath essentials.
The secondary bedroom features a green and silver color scheme, a desk with display shelves on either side and a bath with one sink and a tub-shower.
The finished lower-level family room is furnished with a chocolate love seat, two gold chairs, ottoman and plasma TV. A black-and-white photography display depicts the family's special events.
Homeowners will pay a $169 monthly assessment for maintenance of common areas, building exteriors and lawns, snow clearance and common area insurance.
