Sureness of belief isn't superiority

I feel the need to address the portrayal of Christians set forth by M. Klemenz's Oct. 26 letter.

Christians do not presume to the have the corner on morality in this world. Christians believe the Bible is an historical detail of the very words of God himself.

The Bible spans 1,500 years, has 40 different authors and contains 66 books. Early church scholars, who were inspired by God, pulled the writings together, and put them through tests called "five proofs of inspiration."

No other historical book has withstood such scrutiny over so many years. That "sureness of Christians" that Klemenz picks up on is nothing other than Christians having an understanding of right and wrong directly from the word of God. No other religion can claim that.

Yes, Jesus would love Buddhists, witches, Hindus and everyone else, and he would desire that they all follow him into eternity with his father.
