Set takes you to the town of 'Twin Peaks'
David Lynch's groundbreaking television series "Twin Peaks" attracted a large and devoted audience who tuned in each week to try and figure out the mystery: Who killed Laura Palmer? The story began with her murder, but included many other plots and quirky characters as well.
Kyle MacLachlan headed a great ensemble cast as FBI Agent Dale Cooper; also great were Lynch's music, cinematography, editing and the program's atmosphere. The series had eight writers and fifteen directors, and was nominated for 18 Emmy Awards.
"Twin Peaks: The Definitive Gold Box Edition" (Paramount, 10 discs, $108.99)
The highly anticipated set includes all 29 episodes plus both the original and European versions of the pilot. The Log Lady provides introductions for each episode, and the special features include cast and crew interviews, documentaries, deleted scenes, an interactive map, music video, on-air promos, TV spots, photos, production documents and more. The set has been brilliantly remastered.
