Wheeling Park District notes

Board meeting: PROS Consulting LLC will present the Final Draft results of the Wheeling Park District Park and Recreation Comprehensive Plan to the Park District Board of Commissioners during a special board workshop meeting at 6 p.m. today at the Community Recreation Center.

The Wheeling Park District hired PROS Consulting to develop a Park and Recreation Comprehensive Plan that will serve as a planning tool for the entire district and guide the future of parks, facilities, and recreation programs. The goals of the Plan are to:

• Determine and prioritize where to invest resources.

• Determine best land use and management practices.

• Determine what programs and services to offer.

• Evaluate current open space, and indoor and outdoor recreation space.

• Provide guidelines for future planning and updates.

The Wheeling Park District Board of Commissioners invites and encourages the public to attend this meeting.
