Art foundation to display new exhibit

The Antioch Fine Arts Foundation will feature the works of E. Patrick Sullivan and Gloria Moyano in its White Room for November.

Sullivan, a new member of the gallery, began oil painting more than 30 years ago. After many years in the Navy, during which he sold his works to fellow sailors and family members, he has returned to the art world full time. A prolific "contemporary impressionist," he paints the countryside and the islands as he sees them in clear, obvious form. His work has been seen most recently at the Winchester House in Libertyville and may be seen in the near future in Zion and in Highland Park.

Moyano began oil painting on barn boards more than 30 years ago. Although she is also an oil painter and jewelry designer, she will be presenting her remastered photography at the exhibit. Her floral fantasies and manipulated wildlife are presented in a cacophony of color and style.

A special reception with artists in attendance will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Gallery, 983 Main St., Antioch. Live music and light refreshments will be served. For more information, call (847) 838-2274 or visit www.antiochfinearts.org.
