Patriots vs. Warriors: The Deerfield Warriors junior varsity hockey team hosted the Stevenson Patriots on Oct. 15 at Glacier Arena. The Warriors arrived with several varsity players added to the squad. Stevenson met the challenge with a skating and shooting surge resulting in a 3-1 Patriots victory in their first Metro Conference game of the season.

Stevenson dominated throughout, but its control didn't register on the scoreboard until late in the first period when Max Mora passed to Wayne Glickstern at the Deerfield blue line. Glickstern fed Ricky Raxdolsky with a pinpoint pass to his backhand, and Raxdolsky lofted the puck past the Warriors' goalie. Although Deerfield briefly tied the game in the second period, Justin One scored with a wrist shot off the faceoff feed from Gordon Ochi midway through the period. Myles Lobus scored in the third period with an assist from Jake Gould.
