Baseball/softball
Registration: Lake Villa Township Baseball & Softball is accepting registrations for the 2008 season. The program is open to boys and girls ages 5 through 16 from Lake Villa, Lindenhurst, Antioch, Round Lake and surrounding communities.
Walk-in registration will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the LVTB Park Concession Stand, ¼ mile west of Deep Lake Road on Grass Lake Road. For information, or to have a registration form mailed to you, call (847) 356-7854.
Registration forms can be downloaded from the Web site at www.LVTB.org or at the following locations:
• Lake Villa Township offices, 37908 N. Fairfield Road, Lake Villa.
• Lake Villa village hall, 65 Cedar Ave., Lake Villa.
• Lake Villa public library, 1001 E. Grand Ave., Lake Villa.
• Village of Lindenhurst, 2301 E. Sand Lake Road, Lindenhurst.

The number of players in the league will be limited. A $10 late fee will be charged to registrations received after Dec. 31 (no late fee for 15- and 16-year-olds). Players will not be officially registered or placed on a team until payment is received.
