Gun ownership a constitutional right

As long as the guns were bought and he owns them legally, it's none of Mr. Mannard's business how many anybody owns ("Six hundred guns in one residence?" Fence Post, Oct. 24).

How many knives are too much, how many baseball bats, how many automobiles? Just who as any business deciding how many we can own!

Speaking of automobiles, quite a few performance cars have 500 or more horsepower. Just who needs that much power? Nobody "needs" that much except due to our liberties we have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The right to keep and bear firearms shall not be infringed. These rights are protected by a piece of paper called the Constitution, not "granted" privileges.

Mannard has no right to dictate what rights he feels individuals should have. Funny, he is so scared of Mr. Sonka's 600 legally owned firearms but none of his neighbors are.

Please, stay in Chicago, Mr. Mannard; it's already too late for them.
