'Act of Grace' was graceful journalism

What a thought-provoking article you gave us in Sunday's Oct. 14 Fox Valley edition. "An Act of Grace," telling the stories of several families of murder victims was great writing; provocative, and well-rounded.

We used to subscribe to one of the Chicago papers, but have been won over during the past few years by the fine journalism Daily Herald's writers practice. I appreciate that the paper reports news that is sensational or gruesome without getting mired in heinous details which only appeal to our baser selves.
