Foundation grants cash awards to Mundelein High teachers

The Mundelein High School Educational Foundation presented monetary awards to three instructors during a morning meeting in September. Kelley Happ and Denise Stelzer, two of the trustees of the Foundation, presented the awards.

Communications instructor Kent Meister, received $500 to cover some of the production costs for the first DVD yearbook which was made available recently. The DVD highlights the past school year and features the Class of 2007.

A second $500 award went to English department chair Doug Lillydahl to help purchase special equipment that allows images to be produced on a large screen, which will help work to be shared and critiqued by the students in the classroom.

English and reading instructor Lori Harris received a $500 award to use for LCD equipment which will help in teaching and individualizing instruction in the reading area.
