Birth control isn't part of curriculum
The idea that a school board in Maine is considering handing out birth control pills to 11 year olds is simply wrong. I would suggest two things:
First, the schools must remember that their purpose is to teach the three R's. I'd be willing to bet that this school district is falling short of those goals.
Second, the school board member or members who suggested or supported the birth control program should have their backgrounds checked. I smell a link with Planned Parenthood. That organization has shown a tendency to mask their involvement in promoting that which might be unacceptable to the public, as we have seen in DuPage County.
