Thanks for help on rain-soaked day

Neither snow, sleet nor freezing rain shall ever ... hey wait it wasn't freezing rain, but it was drenching and this is not about the postal service but the hardy runners, walkers and volunteers who joined us the 15th annual Mark McCormick Foundation annual fundraiser, Aug. 19.

About half of the registrants showed up in the rain to participate in this annual event. The 15K, 8K and 5K folks are unbelievable! They told us they train in our type of weather that day! Walkers were just plain loyal and nutty like the volunteers who made this all happen.

It was a safe and fun happening. Smiling, happy faces throughout joined together to successfully bring this fundraiser and event together. A huge thank you from the foundation to all, including but not the least of which were our sponsors, both local and national and the county and city park districts and the City of St. Charles, our host community.
