Westminster installs SMART whiteboards

Westminster Christian School in Elgin recently purchased and installed 17 SMART interactive whiteboards in their middle and high school classrooms.

The addition of this innovative technology will assist teachers presenting lessons and materials in unique formats that engage students and meet the needs of differentiated student learning styles.

SMART Boards interactive whiteboards were the first of their kind in 1991 and today it is the world's leading interactive whiteboard.

It combines the simplicity of a whiteboard with the power or a computer. The touch-sensitive display connects to a computer and digital projector to display a computer image. Computer applications are controlled directly on the board; it also allows for notes to be written in digital ink and saves them directly into the prepared lesson for later use.

Westminster Christian School is a private pre-kindergarten to 12th grade school located at 2700 W. Highland Ave., Elgin.
