Learn infant massage in ECC course

Learn from a licensed massage therapist, a certified infant massage instructor and a mom of two how to soothe and relax your child using massage techniques.

Elgin Community College is offering infant massage, (CED 408-300), a 4-week noncredit course this fall.

Massage can strengthen the bond between parent and child; teach your child to relax; tone the skin, muscles and internal organs; and alleviate many common complaints like colic and hiccups.

The class is intended for a parent/caregiver and a child ages 3 and younger. Pregnant moms are also welcome. Bring an infant-sized doll and two light blankets to class. Handouts and massage oil are included in the course fee of $59 .

The class meets 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Fridays, Oct. 26, Nov. 2, 9 and 16 in Room 214 of the Advanced Technology Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin
