Sales brisk at Patriot Square

Cambridge Homes' Patriot Square community in Plainfield is nearly two-thirds sold with 123 of the 338 total townhouses remaining.

The community features a five-acre park with an open landscaped area and soccer field, playground, gazebo and park benches, as well as two lakes with a bike path running between them.

"It's an established neighborhood setting with an abundance of amenities," said Paul F. Ivers, president of Cambridge Homes.

Buyers can choose from three different plans including a two-story raised ranch with a main-level master bedroom suite and two tri-level home designs. They provide from 1,483 to 1,757 square feet of living space with two to three bedrooms and 1½ to three baths, priced from $192,500 to $212,500. Every home includes a two-car attached garage.

The plans, shown as fully furnished model homes, are:

• The Norfolk. This tri-level, 1,483-square-foot plan has two bedrooms plus a loft or dual master bedrooms, 1½ to 2½ baths, living room with optional fireplace in end units, dining room with an optional fireplace, optional bay windows in end units, kitchen with breakfast area and sliding glass door to wood deck, master bedroom with adjoining bath and optional volume ceiling, main level laundry room, and finished lower-level bonus room, priced currently from $192,500.

• The Charleston. A 1,597-square-foot two-story raised ranch plan with two or three bedrooms, two to three baths, lower level that includes a family room with optional fireplace, a study or third bedroom and a bath, dining room with sliding glass door to wood deck, kitchen with pantry and breakfast area, living room with optional fireplace and volume ceiling options, and a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and adjoining bath, priced from $212,500. Volume ceilings are available throughout the entire main level.

• The Wilmington. This tri-level, 1,757-square-foot design has two bedrooms plus a loft or third bedroom option, 2½ baths, a living room with fireplace option in end units, a dining room with optional fireplace and an optional bay window in end units, kitchen with pantry and breakfast area with sliding glass door to wood deck, upper-level laundry area, master bedroom with optional volume ceiling and a private bath, and finished lower-level bonus room, priced from $203,500. The Wilmington is available with a second master bedroom suite.

Exterior maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, snow removal and hazard insurance are provided for a monthly fee.

Patriot Square is less than one mile from downtown Plainfield and within walking distance of a planned Metra station. Students attend Plainfield District 202 schools.
