Last year: Aurora Christian 35, Wheaton Academy 14 (JV).

Last week: Lake Forest Academy 51, Wheaton Academy 29; Aurora Christian 56, Luther North 0.

Outlook: Wheaton Academy's loss dimmed a phenomenal day by Josh Kruel -- 90- and 91-yard kickoff returns for touchdowns, 2 interceptions, 73 yards receiving with a 10-yard touchdown catch. But aside from linebacker Hayden Goeckel's 9 tackles the Warriors had a hard time stopping a Lake Forest squad that Aurora Christian beat 77-6. To end its first varsity campaign since 1989, Warriors seniors like Goeckel and Tom Vick aim to gain the respect of a slick Aurora Christian squad that can go athletic with quarterback Jordan Roberts as well as physical with running back John Smith.
