Last year: Hinsdale Central 26, Glenbard West 13.

Last week: Hinsdale Central 38, Proviso West 0; Lyons Twp. 21, Glenbard West 14.

Outlook: Should be a doozy -- Hinsdale Central intent on a share of the WSS title, Glenbard West's seniors fighting for a first playoff slot since 2003. Plus, Glenbard West coach Chad Hetlet was Hinsdale Central coach Mike DiMatteo's defensive coordinator last year. Red Devils quarterback John Whitelaw's big plays were pivotal against Proviso, and the Whitelaw-to-Troy Laing connection is a focus for the Hilltoppers' defense. Glenbard West's Bryant Venson and Kane Keirnan ran for 274 of the Hilltoppers' 342 yards against Lyons, but Glenbard West -- whose Chris Watt was offered by Northwestern last week -- has to play mistake-free football.
