Last week: Downers South 58, Morton 20; Leyden 28, Addison Trail 20.

Outlook: The Mustangs broke out to a 42-6 lead last week despite sitting standouts Tyler West and Scottie Williams with mild injuries. Downers South already has clinched a share of its first Gold title since 2003 but would seal the outright title with a win. While sophomore quarterback Chandler Whitmer threw 4 touchdowns last week, the starting defense allowed no points. Linebackers Jared Culver, Sean Fancher and Dan Panozzo key the unit aiming to slow Leyden running back Josh Serrano, who rushed for 200 yards last week. With 40 playoff points the Eagles are in great shape in terms of making the playoffs regardless of tonight's result. A share of the Gold title would be icing on the cake.
