Best & Brightest

• Stephanie Piszkiewicz, daughter of Frederick and Sandra Piszkiewicz, Arlington Heights, was awarded a bachelor's degree in philosophy June 10 from Lawrence University, Appleton, Wis. Piszkiewicz also was named to the 2006-07 dean's list for maintaining a minimum 3.4 grade point average. She is a 2003 graduate of Hersey High School.

• Jenny Martino, a 2007 Buffalo Grove High School graduate, was awarded an International Engineering Scholarship from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign which includes a $1,000 scholarship, help with round trip airfare to any study destination worldwide, and $3,000 per semester for one or two semesters abroad. She will enter the general engineering program this fall.

• Michael Pennisi, a 2007 St. Viator High School graduate, was awarded an International Engineering Scholarship from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, which includes a $1,000 scholarship, help with round-trip airfare to any study destination worldwide, and $3,000 per semester for one or two semesters abroad. He plans to enter the mechanical engineering program this fall.
