Mesa Airlines to cancel flights between Marion and Chicago

MARION -- Regional carrier Mesa Airlines is canceling its service from Marion to Chicago.

The service began February 1 and will end on November 9.

Thomas Bacon -- vice president of planning with Mesa Air Group -- says the service had higher costs and fewer passengers than originally expected.

Williamson County Regional had partnered with Quincy and Decatur airports to provide the service to Chicago Midway.
