Briefs: Loyalty program ready for checkout

PROSPECT HEIGHTS -- HSBC Finance Corp.'s card and retail services business and Pathmark Stores Inc. entered into an agreement to offer a rewards and payment card for supermarket customers. The new Pathmark Advantage Payment Card enhances the current Pathmark Advantage Club card by providing a one-swipe payment process that also generates loyalty rewards. A pilot launch is planned for later this year at selected stores in New York.

Kimball Hill posts preliminary results

ROLLING MEADOWS -- Kimball Hill announced preliminary operating results for the quarter and the year that ended Sept. 30. Kimball Hill delivered 977 homes during the final quarter compared with 1,400 homes during the same period last year. The average sales price of homes delivered during the quarter was $248,000, a 9.8 percent decrease from the average sales price during the fourth fiscal quarter of 2006.
