Thanks offered for charity golf outing
The residents, businesses and all members of our community can be very proud of the tremendously successful Village of Hawthorn Woods charity golf outing to benefit the American Cancer Society held earlier this month. Together we were able to make a donation of $30,000 to support cancer research.
I am pleased to announce that the donation will be dedicated fully to research for this disease that has touched each and every one of us either personally or through friends and relatives.
The success of this event can be attributed to the generous assistance of many businesses, avid golfers and the volunteers that came out to aid this effort. I extend my most sincere thanks to all those who participated in this charity event.
Major sponsors of the charity event included R.A. Mancini Contractors, Cambridge Bank, Kemper Sports Management, Colony Press, Freeborn and Peters LLP, Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd, Ayoub International Corp, The Custom Companies, Aqua Illinois, Laner Muchin Dombrow Becker Levin and Tomlinberg, Ltd., Schain Burney Ross and Citron, Ltd and Peter Baker and Son Co.
Donors to the event included Executive Clothiers; A.G. Edwards and Sons; law offices of Storino, Ramello & Durkin, Charles J. Fiore Co., Speer Financial, Inc., the Taxman Corporation and the law offices of Gorski and Good.
To all members of this community, your leadership role in fighting cancer through your participation allowed us to make a very significant donation to the American Cancer Society.
Finding a cure through continued research is important to all of us, and it was great to have so many local businesses and community members involved in this event.
