A simple solution for county budget

I have a solution to the Cook County budget shortfall: simply cut the salary of every county employee in half and eliminate all benefits. When the workers walk off the job the county should declare the jobs "low-paying jobs Americans don't want" and replace them with illegal aliens.

Private employers have been cutting pay and eliminating bennies for years as they replace Americans with illegals on their payrolls. Why shouldn't public-sector workers get the shaft as well?

Cook County, as an illegal alien-coddling sanctuary should have no qualms with this. Whoops! Almost forgot. Public-sector workers are among the most loyal Democrat voters there are. No way that Stroger and his cronies alienate their base by doing such a thing. Being replaced by illegals is something to hit private-sector employees with. We have this nasty habit of being independents or, God forbid, Republicans.
