"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Prisco Community Center 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora.
Actors, singers and dancers in grades 3 through 12 are needed. Bring a registration fee of $25 for residents, $35 for nonresidents, a prepared song and a nonreturnable head shot such as a school photo with the actor's name and phone number on the back.
All actors will be notified of the audition results by mail. Some actors may not be cast. The decisions about casting will be finalized after a few rehearsals.
Three performances are scheduled for Dec. 7 through 9 at the Prisco Community Center.
"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" tells the tale of a couple struggling to put on a Christmas pageant featuring a family of "inventively awful" kids.

The Fox Valley Philharmonic is seeking local adult and high school singers to form a chorus for its Dec. 2 holiday concert. Vocalists from local church choirs and high school choruses are invited to participate. Interested singers should have choir experience and good sight reading skills. The chorus will rehearse on Saturdays, Oct. 27 through Dec. 1, from 10 to 11:30 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 420 West Downer Place in Aurora.
The Dec. 2 program is titled, "Winter Wundermusik," and will include works for orchestra and chorus such as "A Musicological Journey through the Twelve Days of Christmas," "Christmas Festival," and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."
Orchestral works on the program will include Six Dances from Tschaikowsky's "Nutcracker," "Twas the Night Before Christmas," and Leroy Anderson's perennial favorite "Sleigh Ride."
