Attend diversity, immigration conference

On Wednesday, the Society for Human Resource Management Diversity Initiative will host a half-day conference on "Diversity and Immigration."

Rockford, Fox Valley and Stateline SHRM associations support diversity initiatives and are opening the avenues of discussion.

A brief diversity presentation, followed by a facilitated panel discussion with members from several protected classes will be held at Del Webb in Huntley.

Learn first hand the challenges of the best and worst practices in business organizations. The second half of the morning will lead into areas of immigration and homeland security.

Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. the meeting adjourns at noon. Interested parties can call (847) 289-7170. The cost is $50 for members or $65 for non-members.
