Company designs waterproof remote

LINCOLNSHIRE -- Remote Technologies Inc. and Product Development Technologies Inc., a Lincolnshire-based division of TZ Limited, designed a new remote control that's waterproof. The RTI U2 Waterproof Controller is designed for wireless control of audio and video systems in conditions that are typically not well-suited for remote controls. Engineers designed the U2 to be not only waterproof, but also buoyant, making the "calamity of a remote dropped in the pool or hot tub a concern of the past," the company said.
