Police say they've found body belonging to severed feet
Cook County sheriff's police say they've recovered the body of a man whose severed feet were found earlier this weekend in a south suburban Chicago roadway.
The unidentified man's body was found in an industrial area in Alsip, about ten miles from Matteson, where his feet were found.
The severed feet were found late Friday near a hospital. A passer-by found the body of a white male in his 40s on Sunday afternoon.
Cook County Sheriff's police spokeswoman Penny Mateck says officials have linked the man to the feet based on his injuries.
No cause of death has been determined. The Cook County medical examiner's office says an autopsy on the body is scheduled for Monday. An autopsy on the feet was performed Saturday.
