Those on the left aren't thinking right

Mary Warren's Sept. 8 Fence Post letter is a glaring example of an insidious condition on the left, "The Bush Derangement Syndrome." Now that the surge in Iraq is clearly working, Warren opines, "I will not believe a word that comes out of General Petraeus's mouth." She joins in the cacophony of attacks on the general's integrity and character emanating from liberals.

Moveon, the most prominent smear and fear propagandist arm of the Democratic Party, was up to its anti-military, blame America first sophomoric tricks. A full page ad in the liberal rag, New York Times, calling General Petraeus Gen. Betray-us. These people don't know the meaning of "duty, honor, country!"

President "Svengali" Bush, the lying, unintelligent frat boy, tricked the best and brightest of the Democratic Party into voting for the Iraq invasion. Hillary Clinton has been flip-flopping on what to do about Iraq so often she makes John Kerry look decisive! She adamantly defended her vote in front of Congress in 2002 and before a Code Pink (screeching Cindy Sheehan types) gathering in 2003.

Candidate Obama is clean with the leftists, he was in Illinois voting against a bill, Born Alive Infants Protection Act, that would have provided critical health care for babies surviving abortions. The compassionate party!

How disturbing is it when the defeat and retreat remarks by the leadership of the Democratic Party are parroted by Osama bin Laden? Or when a murdering thug dictator like Fidel Castro is all warm and fuzzy about a possible Clinton/Obama ticket! The once proud party of FDR, Truman and Kennedy has been hijacked by a vile, deranged, socialist minority that is now calling the shots! Not my father's Democratic Party anymore!
