Townhouse plans in Carol Stream community offer options, amenities

Easton Park in Carol Stream offers new, row-style townhouses in a setting reminiscent of the countryside.

With a great lawn at the center of the community, scenic walkways link to smaller green spaces while benches and curving paths invite neighbors outdoors.

Lakewood Homes offers three floor plans with two tri-level layouts and one raised-ranch design. Each has two to three bedrooms, 2½ to 3½ baths, finished lower level, volume ceilings, lots of storage and extra living space such as lofts and family rooms. A rear- or side-load two-car garage creates a clean and inviting look from front sidewalks.

Each floor plan has been laid out to provide flexibility for buyers, said Robin Johnson, vice president of sales for Lakewood Homes.

"Depending on what model they select, buyers have options to create additional bedrooms, dual master suites, additional baths or more office space," Johnson said.

With a convenient location on North Avenue just west of Gary Avenue, the community is close to shopping, dining and entertainment, including Stratford Square Shopping Center.

Decorated model interiors are by Natalya Villa of Eleni Interiors in Naperville.

The Fairmont, from $346,990, has 1,960 square feet, two bedrooms and three full baths. This raised ranch features an espresso contemporary look with chocolate brown, tangerine and soft ivory. The plan provides convenient one-level living with extra living space on the finished lower level.

The main level has an open floor plan, which is ideal for entertaining. A cathedral ceiling unites the living and dining rooms, while a fireplace warms the area.

In the dining room, a glass-topped table for six awaits guests. A credenza and mirror complete the room.

The kitchen features maple-glazed cabinets, stainless steel appliances, pantry and a sink overlooking the living area. A bronze mirror as a backsplash gives the kitchen some sparkle and a sense of spaciousness.

The study has a sophisticated look and features a travel theme.

Topped with a cathedral ceiling, the master suite features a tone-on-tone ivory wallpaper and big, bold artwork and accessories that bring tangerines and browns into the neutral setting. There is also a walk-in closet.

The wallpapered bath has two sinks, tub and walk-in shower.

The finished lower level offers space to entertain friends. The room features a custom bar, pool table, plasma TV and optional fireplace, which gives the room a cozy feel.

A guest bedroom and bath with walk-in shower complete the level.

The Jamestown, from $316,990, has 2,460 square feet, two bedrooms and 2½ baths. This three-level plan features a traditional interior with a merlot, celery green and gold palette. The design offers space for everyday living and entertaining.

A gold sofa topped with striped and floral pillows and two chairs welcome guests in the living room. A table runner and floral centerpiece top the glass table in the dining room. Both rooms feature crown molding with picture frame moldings below the chair rail.

The kitchen/breakfast area has cherry cabinets, green granite countertops, a ceramic tile backsplash and black appliances. In the adjoining family room, there's a sectional and an optional fireplace with stained mantel and cobblestone surround.

Upstairs, the loft serves as a homework station where a large bulletin board keeps memorabilia and pictures intact. The study provides a private spot for homeowners to complete work from the office.

An elegant ambience awaits homeowners in the master suite, topped with crown molding and a tray ceiling with a smaller crown inside to emphasize the ceiling treatment. The room features tone-on-tone painted striping on all the walls and a walk-in closet. The wallpapered bath features dual sinks, tub and walk-in shower.

Small panel molding with wallpaper above and below highlights the secondary bedroom decorated with a golf theme for the Glenbard North Panthers fan.

The finished lower level showcases a James Bond theater room with a built-in TV and plasma screen for movies. The wall treatment resembles the wood grain of a car with the look of red leather above for a dim theater feel. There's also a pub table and popcorn machine. A full bath features a walk-in shower.

Also modeled is the three-level Burberry priced from $299,990 with 1,899 square feet, two bedrooms and 2½ baths. This townhouse features an open living/dining room and kitchen with breakfast area on the main level and a master suite with loft and second bedroom or second master suite on the upper level. The finished lower level has a private den.

Residents pay a $106 monthly assessment to cover maintenance.
