Art exhibit: Four North Central students reflect on their lives in a collaborative collection of two- and three-dimensional art work, "Self-Portraiture through Slip-Casting" on display through Nov. 11 in the gallery of Oesterle Library, 320 E. School St., Naperville. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to midnight Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5:300 p.m. Saturdays, and noon to midnight Sundays. Free. Homecoming: Community members are invited to join alumni and friends of the college to celebrate Homecoming 2007 on Oct. 19-21.
Friday activities are:
• 4 p.m., men's soccer, Cardinals vs. University of Dubuque, Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, 455 S. Brainard St., Naperville. Free.
• 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Concert by Concert Chori, Women's Chorale and Concert Winds at Community United Methodist Church, 20 N. Center St., Naperville. Free.
• 7 p.m. , women's volleyball, Cardinals vs. Elmhurst College. Free.
Saturday activities:
• 10 a.m., artist reception and open house, Meiley-Swallow Hall, formerly Old Grace Church, 31 S. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
• 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., alumni awards, recognition ceremony and building dedication, Meiley-Swallow Hall.
• 11:30 a.m., Homecoming Parade starting at Brainard and School streets, progressing south on Brainard and ending at Championship Plaza.
• Noon, homecoming pep rally, Championship Plaza.
• 1 p.m., football game, Cardinals vs. Elmhurst College, Benedetti-Wehril Stadium. Admission $6, free for children 12 and under.
Sunday activities:
• 9:30 a.m., worship service, Koten Chapel inside Kiekhofer Hall, 329 E. School St., Naperville. Alumni invited to renew their wedding vows.

Struggle in Turkey: The ongoing struggle between religion and secularism in modern Turkey is discussed by Hakan Ozoglu, senior Ayasili lecturer in Turkish language at the University of Chicago, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 in Smith Hall at Old Main, 30 N.
