Lucky Hampshire babies will receive warm HEA welcome

HEA Week is next week, and once again, the Henpeck Unit of Kane County Homemakers Education Association will award a Welcome Home packet to babies born to Hampshire residents during that week -- Oct. 14-20.

A one-year membership in HEA will be awarded to the parents of these lucky babies.

The Welcome Home packet contains basic items needed by a newborn but is individualized according to specific family needs. For example, a packet for a firstborn would be different from one for a fifth arrival.

Since hospitals no longer release information to newspapers on all the births at local hospitals, the Homemakers must rely on family and friends to notify them of the new arrivals.
