Briefs: Tower swap approved
Lincolnshire trustees this week approved a plan to erect a new cellular telephone tower in exchange for the removal of an existing, nearby tower. An Atlanta company, American Tower Inc., has requested the swap. The firm's plan calls for the decommission of an existing tower in a planned downtown commercial district called Lincolnshire Marketplace. The site is east of Milwaukee Avenue near what once was Riverside Drive. For the Marketplace proposal to progress, officials have said, the existing tower needs to come down. The new tower will be built about 350 feet east of the current site, officials have said. The plan needed the board's approval because the new tower will exceed Lincolnshire's height restrictions.

Revised utility bills mailed
Grayslake officials announced they will send corrected utility bills for October to all Grayslake residents. A printing error on the part of the village's billing contractor has caused some of the bills to be missing due dates and reflect the amounts due as credits. The printing error has been corrected, and new bills will be sent Monday. Residents are asked to discard the previous bill received. If residents have already paid their October bill, no additional payment is needed. For more information, call the village at (847) 223-8515.
