Tree falls across Biesterfield near hospital

A tree has fallen across the westbound lanes of Biesterfield Road in Elk Grove Village this morning, temporarily blocking westbound traffic near Alexian Brothers Medical Center.

A spokesman for the Elk Grove Village Police Department, speaking at about 10:35 a.m., said they don't know at this point why the tree fell.

He said people from the public works department would be out shortly to get it cleaned up.

The tree that fell is just west of Beisner Road, the officer said.
