One hurt in Sugar Grove crash on Rt. 47

A man was injured this afternoon when the car he was driving crossed the center line of Route 47 in Sugar Grove and hit a landscaping dump truck head-on, according to Sugar Grove Police Investigator John Sizer.

The injured driver was flown by helicopter to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. The driver of the dump truck was not injured.

A portion of Route 47 was closed due to the accident.
