Glen Ellyn Eagles 70-pound White: The Eagles played an inspiring homecoming game, beating South Elgin 36-7 in Bill George Youth Football League action.

Michael Welsh scored on a 29-yard touchdown for Glen Ellyn's first score, with Eric Samuta running in the extra point.

In a big second quarter for the Eagles, Roderick Rivera scored on a 35-yard run, with a 2-point conversion pass from Welsh to Scott Hetzel.

Patrick Mackey recovered a kick at midfield and took a 40-yard run down to the South Elgin 8. Welsh then scored on a touchdown run, with Samuta taking in the extra point.

Mackey recovered another kick, setting up Welsh's 22-yard touchdown run. Rivera scored the extra point.

Samuta scored on a 2-yard run in the third quarter, with the extra point run by Mackey.
