Thanks for support of Touch A Truck
Sept. 15 marked the 8th Annual Touch A Truck event in Warrenville. Touch A Truck brings together many private and public agencies each year. This year it was generously supported with the following agencies providing vehicles, support staff and a special dog:
The Warrenville Fire Department, the city of Warrenville, Warrenville ESDA Department, Voegtle's Lawn Service, Warrenville Police Department, with K-9 unit, Herbo Tree Service, Voegtle's Auto and Towing Service, Laidlaw School Bus and Warrenville Park District maintenance department.
A special thanks to Tim Saul with the Warrenville Fire Department for coordinating with Life Star the possibility of a helicopter landing. Due to an emergency call the helicopter could not land.
This event would not be possible without all of these professionals generously donating their staff and equipment for the public to view, touch, explore and climb on.
This event is free to the community and was well supported with approximately 300 attending this year. Thank you to the public for supporting Touch A Truck and sharing with the agencies that you enjoy this event! The park district looks forward to working with each of these agencies as we plan for Touch A Truck 2008!
