Thanks to all who welcomed son

I want to thank all who came out to welcome home our son from Iraq. The neighbors, the press and state Sen. Michael Bond. The senator gave our son a certificate for serving, which all of our family is proud of. Unfortunately, I did contact all of the elected officials and only Sen. Bond showed up. Actions speak louder than words. And they gave me the proof that they really don't care except when it's election time. We are proud that he served our great country. We thank God that he returned home to us safe.

We all may not agree on why we are at war, but we all should support the men and women in the armed forces fighting for our freedom. After all, it's they who are defending our freedoms and right. Giving themselves unselfishly so we may complain about taxes, politics and whatever upsets us without the fear of someone reprimanding our actions. This is what those in Arlington cemetery gave their lives for. God bless America. And may God bless those in the Armed forces.
