Bomb threat stops train in Naperville

An Amtrak train was stopped at the Naperville train station Tuesday after police received a call that there might be a bomb on the train, Naperville police said.

Amtrak dispatch center officials received a call that originated from California saying that Amtrak train number 383 en route to Quincy from Chicago might have a bomb on board, police said.

Officials stopped the train at the Naperville station at 6:38 p.m. to search it, police said. The train was delayed for about 50 minutes, delaying Metra trains that use the same tracks, police said.

No one was injured and nothing suspicious was found, police said.
