Youth can see what vets do on Saturday

Animal Education and Rescue's We Care! Youth Club will hold an educational event open to the public from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Care Animal Hospital 1101 W. Park Avenue in Libertyville. The club, in conjunction with Care Animal Hospital, will hold A Day At The Vet.

Participants ages 7 to 17 will have the opportunity to see some of the things veterinarians do on a daily basis. There will be slides to view under microscopes, specimens in jars and kittens to play with and learn about, as well as education about surgeries and medical equipment.

Reservations are required. Call (847) 816-0831 to reserve a spot. There is no charge but donations are appreciated.
