Financial planners to give free advice

Financial planners are set to field your questions for free Wednesday evening.

Whether you're just starting a job or nearing retirement, you can get advice during the Daily Herald's fourth annual Financial Planning Night. We've teamed up with the Financial Planning Association of Illinois for this call-in event.

A panel of Certified Financial Planners will be on hand from 6:30 to 9 p.m. to answer your questions at (800) 430-4237.

Readers called in last year with questions about diversification, 401(k)s, mortgages and home equity loans, real estate and annuities.

Some readers wanted to know if they were in the right funds based on the economy, their age, circumstances, income and risk tolerance.

So get your questions ready. We'll tell you more Wednesday about the planners who will participate.
