Hanover Park teen accused of robbery

A Hanover Park teenager was ordered held on $75,000 bond Saturday for her alleged role in a robbery scheme.

Prosecutors say 19-year-old Jackie Yeazell was one of two women who lured a man to a Hanover Park parking lot amid promises of sex Thursday night. Once there, two men armed with baseball bats ambushed him, prosecutors said, demanding he hand over his cash and keys.

The men didn't hit him, authorities say, but they did leave with $107, the man's car keys and his cell phone.

Yeazell, a senior enrolled in an alternative school, faces a single charge of robbery.

She's the fourth person arrested in the incident, prosecutors said. The others -- another woman and two men -- were in bond court Friday. Their names were not available Saturday, and it was unclear what charges they face.

Prosecutors say the victim contacted Yeazell and the other woman through the Craigslist Web site. The three met at a Hanover Park Internet cafe shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday, according to police reports, and then climbed into the man's car.

The women directed him to a parking lot on the 1000 block of Parkview Drive, prosecutors said, then left, telling the man to wait. The men showed up moments later wielding bats, authorities said.

Cook County Judge Howard Fink set Yeazell's bond Saturday in Rolling Meadows. She has no prior criminal background. She is due back in court again Oct. 26.
