Dartmoor offered luxury in wooded community

Dartmoor Homes, known throughout the northern suburbs for its luxury townhouses and exclusive single-family homes, has opened a new upscale, wooded single-family home community in Hoffman Estates. Devonshire Woods Estates, a community with wooded naturally rolling topography, will be perfect for families looking for a large, semi-custom home. With a temporary offsite sales center open at Dartmoor's nearby Yorkshire Woods community, Devonshire Woods Estates, home buyers have an opportunity to take advantage of attractive pre-construction pricing, and save thousands of dollars on the base price of each and every home.

Dartmoor Homes will offer five two-story designs, providing 3,887 to 5,062 square feet of customized, luxury living space. These homes are pre-construction base priced from $647,900 to $704,900, but when the decorated model is completed during the third quarter of 2008 prices are expected to rise by several thousand dollars.

When completed, the attractive community will only have 55 residences set on home sites that range from one-third- to one-half-acre. One of the most interesting aspects of Devonshire Woods is that a limited number of home sites are perfectly suited for the construction of a home with a walkout or English basement.

Designed to emphasize comfort, spaciousness and architectural style, the Devonshire Woods Estates' homes, with brick and maintenance-free Hardi Plank siding will typically offer four bedrooms, 2½ to 4½ baths, spacious kitchens, breakfast areas, living rooms, family rooms, formal dining rooms, dens, elegant master-bedroom suites with sitting rooms (per plan), and attached three-car garages.

All homes in Devonshire Woods Estates will feature three-car garages, basements (walkout or lookouts optional), masonry fireplaces, vaulted ceilings (per plan), one or two central air-conditioning units and humidifiers, site finished hardwood flooring, Jenn-Air appliances, furniture-quality cabinets with 42-inch uppers and much more.

As in all other Dartmoor single-family home communities, the builder offers home buyers the opportunity to extensively modify any available floor plan. No alteration is too complex. Homes can be expanded, additional volume ceilings can be incorporated, and interior and exterior walls can be relocated. If the home buyer desires it, Dartmoor will make it happen. The company is eager to make these types of alterations because it has more than 20 years of experience in the custom homebuilding industry.

Devonshire Woods Estates will be located three quarters of a mile west of Rohrssen Road, on the south side of Shoe Factory Road. All residents will be within walking distance to schools and parks, and a brief drive away from a forest preserve. Families with school-age children will be pleased to know that elementary students attend Elgin's District U-46 and teenagers attend Elgin High School.

For adults making the daily commute to and from work, the village of Hoffman Estates is well positioned. Commuters can catch trains in nearby Bartlett for a 50-minute ride to the Loop. Further, Devonshire Woods Estates is situated near Illinois 59, which runs north to the Northwest Tollway (I-90). Thus drive time to the Loop is an hour, O'Hare Airport is 25 minutes and Midway is 60 minutes. Major retail venues in the immediate area are Woodfield Mall, Stratford Square, Yorktown Mall, Oakbrook Center as well as small retail shops along Route 59.
