Elgin Y 5K Walk set for Sunday

The YWCA Elgin will hold its first 5K Y Walk at 1 p.m. Sunday. Pledge packets are available at the YWCA, 220 E. Chicago St.

Walkers will leave from Festival Park in downtown Elgin and travel the Fox River Bike Trail returning for a celebration.

Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. with a warm-up at 12:45 p.m. by Landin Chiropractic Care. Pledges and donations will be used for programs.

The Elgin YWCA provides youth services, childcare, health and wellness, adult education and family literacy. Donations can be made online at www.ywcaelgin.org.
