Robbers hit Glen Ellyn convenience store
Police are searching for two people who robbed a Glen Ellyn convenience store early this morning, officials said.
At 3:45 a.m., a man and woman entered the White Hen Pantry at 6 S. Park Blvd. and announced they're going to rob the shop, Glen Ellyn Deputy Police Chief Bill Holmer said.
The man implied he had a gun but never displayed one, Holmer said.
After the employee gave the man an envelope filled with cash, the robbers fled northbound on Park Boulevard, officials said.
No injuries were reported, and the offenders weren't located after the area was checked, Holmer said.
The male robber is described as being in his 50s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and was wearing a black jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Glen Ellyn police at (630) 469-1187.
