A medley of Salsation's best comedic sketches, "HisPanic Attack!" offers a sharp-witted and hilarious twist on images of Hispanics in the media, education, and coping with life's irritations, traditions and celebrations Hispanic-style.
Chicago's first all-Hispanic improvisational and sketch comedy ensemble, Salsation's members trace their heritage back to Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Italy, Mexico, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, and Venezuela.
Salsation Theatre Company is based in Chicago and was founded in 1998 by students at The Second City, Improv Olympic and Columbia College Chicago who wanted a venue to create and perform original Hispanic-themed material.
Originally envisioned as an improv group, Salsation began focusing on scripted sketch comedy shortly after its inception, and has produced such hit revues as "Touched by an Anglo," "Whole Lotta Shakira Goin' On" and "My Big Fat Quinceanera."
