Thanks, Vista, for investing in future

Our community is blessed with terrific medical programs through Vista Health System. Throughout the years, Vista has stood with us and served our community in the good times and the bad. I am excited to report that Vista's commitment to our community is growing stronger with their continued investment into their local facilities.

Last year, they renovated their emergency room and waiting area, to create the largest emergency department in Lake County. That department will treat over 40,000 patients this year. They are also operating a new urgent-care facility at the Vista Medical Center West campus.

This summer Vista was approved to begin open heart surgeries at Vista Medical Center East. The facility's staff has already begun training to begin this new life-saving procedure and Vista has recruited a team of experienced, top-notch surgeons to begin providing these techniques.

To support this service, Vista just announced that it is investing over $7 million into renovations on their intensive care unit. This influx of finances will create a system to benefit patients from open heart surgeries, as well as other patients in the ICU.

This August, the new Vista Orthopedic and Joint Center was opened. Working under the medical direction of Dr. Bruce Summerville, this new investment is making major joint replacement a much more efficient procedure.

Thank you, Vista, for continuing to stand by us and Lake County and investing in our future!
